Computer halls consume a lot of electricity. Today, about as much of the world’s carbon dioxide emissions come from IT as from aviation. The goal of Green IT is to reduce energy consumption in the data hall in various ways, for example through server virtualization, energy recovery and other technologies that reduce energy consumption.
DISTRICT COOL AND HEATING
Our data hall is cooled with district cooling produced from Lake Vättern’s cold water.
The heat energy that is generated in the data hall is recycled and becomes district heating that heats homes. The recovery of heat energy in combination with a highly efficient cooling means a minimal climate impact. Therefore, both we and you customers can feel a good conscience for the climate.
CLIMATE SMART IT WITH VIRTUALIZATION!
To reduce our own climate impact, Bluerange has since 2004 made extensive use of virtualization technology. With the help of virtualization, we get space with more servers on the same hardware and can thus increase the utilization rate and efficiency in our data hall.
In addition to a reduced climate impact, it also contributes to a higher availability of our services.
IT operations are not just technology. With us you always get personal service. We have 24-hour emergency services and a staffed help desk during office hours. Different levels of service agreement (SLA) can be signed depending on requirements and wishes.
SERVICE level 1
Troubleshooting / action starts within 60 minutes after request or established error during office hours. Work for troubleshooting and measures is charged according to current terms of service.
